At The Tomato Shack salad & pizza co., we are not a chain.. we are a local Philly brand with a 20+ year track record illustrating an emphasis on retaining pure quality while promoting this upward trend of healthy lifestyle eating!  We let our ingredients do the talking and never cut corners.  

Our decisions are based on the passion of a small group of managing partners that listen to their team.  Decisions are not driven by what's best for Wall Street, which can often push a growing brand to the ground!  

Seeking out local and organic ingredients whenever possible is an important part of the company mission.  All of our salad dressings, pizza sauces and sandwich spreads are gluten-free, nut-free, soy-free, and vegan. Healthy is our goal without compromising flavor! Our standard pizza crust (made with gluten) is made entirely of organic ingredients and has won "Best Pizza" in Philadelphia Magazine (among many other accolades).  We also make a gluten-free dough that helped us win recognition in USA Today's "10 Best Gluten-Free Pizzas"!   We also offer a unique vegan cheese substitute as well, making sure to have something for all of our guests with dietary restrictions!

Steps to Open

It’s our job to make this easy on you.  Start by completing the form below!  This process can take anywhere from 30 days to a year depending on your candidacy and other criteria.  We will run through all the standard Q&A and discuss how we will offer throughout and consistent training and support for your franchise(s).  If we mutually feel a strong connection we will move on to the next step. 

Upon sharing our Franchise Development Document (FDD) you will learn about every aspect of this opportunity from initial costs, to training and support, to all about the history and future of our brand.  We would advise you to review this document with an attorney.  At this stage we will answer any remaining questions you might have and discuss available territories and other market specifics.  

You will next have the opportunity to meet with our team to offer a better understanding of what having your own Tomato Shack pizza & salad co. is all about!  You would be invited to hear directly from leadership about how The Tomato Shack got started and our business goals including what the future holds for our brand.   

Once you have signed your franchise agreement and paid your franchise fee, you're officially part of The Tomato Shack franchise family!  The best candidates are already in or have plenty of experience within the restaurant industry.  But don't worry, even if you don't you could still join the team!
